After a few weeks learning Ruby on Rails I am finally starting to enjoy things. It took some time to set up the Ubuntu virtual machine in virtualbox and install everything, but the development environment part was probably the most frustrating part. The linux command line is also unforgiving with spelling errors and that takes some getting used to at the start. Now I have everything just right so keep an eye out for updates.

Lego perspectives on disability.
I was very happy to present at Syracuse University’s “Cripping the Con” on a project to create a greater representation of people with disabilities. By modifying existing Lego pieces my colleague and I created new options for Lego enthusiasts to better embody a more full range of disability in the community. Using 3D rendering software we created mockups for the presentation and opened the door for future 3D printing of the new Lego pieces.
